Before making Canada her home, Rosa was born in Venezuela and lived in the United States. She trained as a Psychologist at Universidad Central de Venezuela and completed graduate studies in Mental Health Psychology at the University of Liverpool. A member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), Rosa is passionate about keeping up with the latest research and best practices. With 20+ years of direct contact with Pre-K to Higher Education students, she holds a strong track record in Career Guidance, Post-Secondary Counseling and promoting healthy transitions. Before joining International Schools Partnership as Group Head of Future Pathways, Rosa had developed global professional development for Higher Education Representatives and School Counselors. She has presented at the Council of International Schools (CIS), the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), the Tri Association, the National Association for College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and the International Association for College Admissions Counselors (IACAC), holding membership and leadership positions in the latter two organizations. A life learner, Rosa recently discovered her green thumb and spends time in her home garden cultivating herbs, vegetables, and flowers with the satisfaction of cooking with home grown ingredients. She and her husband David share a love for travel and people. On Sundays, they connect electronically with family and friends to try out new recipes and to share a meal together.
