Watch Jen Smith, Ph.D., Marine Biologist and Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, share how as a researcher focusing on reef ecology, she gets to visit some of the most remote and beautiful places in the world to study the impact of human activity on our underwater environment. As a girl, she loved spending time outdoors, especially in the water. While studying science in college, she learned to scuba dive and realized that working underwater as a marine biologist was the perfect career match for her.
