Watch Dr. Valerae O. Lewis, M.D., Associate Professor of Orthopedic Oncology and Chief, Orthopedic Oncology, Division of Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center discuss how she always knew she wanted to be a physician, following in the footsteps of her father. She loved taking things apart and putting them back together, skills she uses every day as a surgeon. Dr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from Yale University, and then attended Harvard University where she completed Medical School with honors and an Orthopedic Combined Residency before going on to complete a Fellowship at the University of Chicago.
