Watch Yalemtsehay Mekonnen, Ph.D., Senior Professor of Cell and Human Physiology at Addis Ababa University, College of Natural Sciences. She teaches various courses, advises students, and engages in professional activities to support women and researchers. The most rewarding part of her work is watching her students achieve and become role models in society. Yalemtsehay says that girls should consider a career in biological science because it is a fascinating field that offers a wide variety of specialized areas.  Her advice to girls is to try your best, finish what you start, and know that nothing you want to do is impossible.
