Project Manager

Bio

Watch Ami Yokoyama, a project manager at a company that manufactures “point and shoot” cameras. She found this work especially rewarding after the Japanese earthquake in 2011. She saw how people reacted when they would discover photos or an album from the rubble. She realized that her work could help people preserve their memories when everything else is destroyed. She recommends that girls consider a career in project management if they prefer to have a broader perspective and not just specialize in a specific skill. Her advice to girls is to define their success - not the so-called ‘success’ like being rich or beautiful. Having your own definition will make you stronger.
