Elizabeth Hunt

Executive Director

Elizabeth Hunt

Elizabeth Hunt is determined to overcome gaps in education, leadership, and opportunity facing women and girls. She believes role models help girls of all backgrounds envision what’s possible for their futures. With more than two decades of experience in nonprofits, digital inclusion, and education programs, she applies strategic vision and disciplined execution to expand educational opportunity and improve lives at scale.

Her work spans digital innovation, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, weaving technology, equity, and learning access across the U.S. and around the world. She has built multi-sector partnerships, led marketing strategies, and shaped programs for global and local organizations including TechSoup, Tostan, Internews, Call of the Sea, and USAID. She builds lasting donor relationships and has established multi-year major gift programs rooted in deep engagement.

As Executive Director, Elizabeth will lead strategic vision and operations, including expanding Career Girls’ digital programming to serve more girls globally. She will expand and strengthen Career Girls Clubs — which have tripled the number of schools they serve over the past three years — to inspire more girls across the U.S. She will attract partners and funders committed to amplifying role models’ voices and scaling curriculum reach for long-term, mission-aligned growth and impact.

She holds a master’s in international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a bachelor’s in journalism from Northwestern University.

Elizabeth treasures time with her young daughter, her husband, and their golden retriever. She enjoys sailing, yoga, traveling and hiking. She serves as Vice President and trustee of the Gilbert M. and Martha H. Hitchcock Foundation (in her birthplace, Omaha, Nebraska). She also serves on the board of the Sausalito Library Foundation and the Sausalito Woman’s Club.
