SAN FRANCISCO (October 7, 2025) – The San Francisco-based nonprofit Career Girls the global nonprofit dedicated to providing girls with real-world career guidance and role models, today announced a new chapter in its leadership. Founder Linda Calhoun will transition from day-to-day operations to serve as Board President and Senior Advisor, as the organization welcomes Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hunt as its new Executive Director.
“After nearly 30 years of bringing Career Girls from an idea to a global platform, I’m excited to step into an advisory role and support Lizzie’s leadership as she guides Career Girls into the future,” said Calhoun.
Hunt brings extensive experience in nonprofit strategy, education partnerships, and equity-focused leadership.
“Leading Career Girls is a dream come true,” said Hunt. “Together with our partners, Career Girls is building a bold future where every girl has the support she needs to dream big and achieve those dreams. I’m eager to build on founder Linda Calhoun’s vision and to welcome new partners as we grow the movement.”
As Career Girls approaches the close of the year, the organization remains focused on expanding global access to career guidance resources and empowering girls everywhere to see what’s possible.
Calhoun will continue to represent Career Girls in her capacity as Board President and will join the community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl at the upcoming Career Girls Walk/Run 2025 on October 11.
