Watch Luetta Allen, Ph.D., Project Director of External Collaborations, Translational Research in the Vice President's Office at MD Anderson Cancer Center, discuss her “Aha” moment in science when she learned about Gregor Mendel and genetics in elementary school and then went on to be the first undergraduate student at Texas A & M to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics. She also earned the first jointly conferred Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics as Applied to Developmental Biology from University of Texas and MD Anderson.
