Watch Mireille Kamariza, a Junior Fellow at Harvard University. She researches infectious diseases in the global health context. The most rewarding part of her work is tackling a challenging problem and working with a team to find the answer that improves people’s lives. Mireille says that girls should pursue a career in biomedical science because women’s perspectives are needed in finding solutions to the problems in their communities. Her advice to girls is to remind themselves that it’s okay to make mistakes and be kind to themselves.
