Judy Marlinski

Judy Marlinski joined Fidelity Investments in 1986 and built a 35-year record of accomplishments leading financial institutions, developing investment products, and stewarding complex multinational organizations. Before retiring in 2021, Judy was President of Fidelity Institutional Asset Management from 2017 to 2020, with over $800B AUM. Previously, Judy moved to Japan in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer, Investment Management for Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and was later appointed President of Fidelity International Japan (FIJ) from 2011-2016 growing AUM from $37 to $58 B.

Judy Marlinski’s most recent board experience was Chair of the board of independent directors in the US and UK for Newton Investment Management, a subsidiary of BNY from 2021-2026. In 2023, Judy was appointed as an independent director of WNS, an internationally listed BPM/AI/Analytics firm until the firm was sold to Capgemini in 2025.

FIJ became the largest foreign retail asset manager in Japan under her leadership. Judy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. with honors from Boston University. She was named one of the “25 Most Influential Women in Asset Management” by Asian Investor magazine in 2014. Judy lives in Boston with her husband and pet golden retriever. They have two adult daughters living and working in California. Judy loves to travel with her family, teach cooking at the Boys & Girls Club and paint in her free time.
