Loretta Hickman

Loretta Hickman serves as the Education Consultant at Career Girls. In her current role, she supports school leaders through grant opportunities to improve their teacher coaching and implementation of high-quality curriculum. She started her career as an elementary school teacher in Harlem. For ten years she worked in New York City as a classroom teacher, special educator, teacher coach and principal. Throughout her career Loretta has supported leaders and teachers to meet the needs of all their students and worked to achieve more equitable outcomes for students of color.

Loretta received her Bachelors in Psychology and Urban Studies-Education from Stanford University and Masters degrees in Elementary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and School Building Leadership from Fordham University.
