Watch Randi Williams, a Ph.D. student in Media Arts and Sciences at MIT. She studies robotics and is also an educator, teaching people about the way technology impacts society. The best part of her work is interacting with people and making technology that enhances their lives. Randi says that girls should consider a career in robotics because it’s an exciting and collaborative field that includes people with many different areas of expertise. Her advice to girls is never to be afraid to make yourself heard; your ideas are essential, and people will be glad to listen to what you have to contribute.
