Watch Monica DaCosta, Chief Officer of Operations Training for MTA New York City Transit, the public transportation system which includes subways, buses, and railroads. She leads her team in providing training to over 30,000 people each year. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing the positive impact her work has on people’s lives. Monica says that girls should consider a career in public transportation because it’s an exciting field with many diverse roles. Her advice to girls is to know that it’s okay to make mistakes, they don’t define you, and you will learn from them.
