Watch Carla Lucero, composer and librettist who teachers opera composition and film scoring, share her passion for storytelling through music. She loves to motivate her students to dream big and follow their heart in pursuing their art. Carla is one of the first women of color to produce a love opera and speaks about her experience of being a trailblazer in the world of opera. Her advice to girls is to be prepared so they take advantage of opportunities when they arise.
