Watch Hiwot Amare Le Roy, the Founder and Executive Director of Nutrition 4 Education and Development, a nonprofit that helps children thrive through proper nutrition. She is also an information technology consultant, helping her clients find the software solutions they need to run their organization better. The most rewarding part of her work is the satisfaction of improving people’s lives and being part of the solution in solving problems. Hiwot says that girls should consider a career in IT because the field needs equal representation to ensure that everyone’s needs are addressed in designing software. Her advice to girls is to know that they are responsible for their happiness and success and build themselves into what they want to become.
