Watch Entrepreneur Mpho Letima, who is studying in a Ph.D. program that teaches both theoretical and practical elements of peace. She is developing an initiative on peace-building and mediation. She’s also working to grow her organization: The Gem Institute. The Institute aims to create linkages between technology and the creative industries―and build capacity for young women’s involvement in those fields. Mpho’s original clothing line not only raises funds, it also inspires confidence for girls when they wear these creations to job interviews. Mpho advises young girls: “I come from a very humble background. And if I am here today, you can do it.”
