Bio
Watch Broadcast News Reporter Tyler Harrison, shares what it’s like being on the night side shift of the newsroom. She normally produces three newscasts between 3 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., though her shifts are sometimes 10 hours long if there’s breaking news. She feels grateful every day to have the chance to share important stories about the community. Tyler advises girls to follow what makes them happy. There are a lot of different routes girls can take to get to an end goal – and it’s okay if the goal changes. She says journalism is changing with social media, providing another entree for girls besides the traditional broadcast newsroom.
