Watch Niki Solis, a public defender in San Francisco for 22 years. She is appointed by the City and County to represent people who can't afford attorneys. She is currently a commissioner on the Criminal Law Advisory Commission appointed by the Governor on the State Bar where they grade the exams for the specialization of criminal law. She says the most important thing is doing your best, and that girls should consider being a public defender because you get to go into your community and learn about your community in this dynamic and energizing job. Niki says to be the kind of person who gets it done.
