Bio
Watch Ruth Kaveke a web developer from Mombasa Kenya, who codes, creates websites and develops web applications for clients. She also trains girls how to code. She says her students are very creative and even compete globally. They come up with innovative solutions that help solve community problems. She loves seeing the confidence her students develop—giving them the ability to meet with government partners, and to sell their products, including many beautiful websites. She encourages girls to study ICT because it’s fun and one of the best-paid jobs. Ruth notes that women have been involved since ICT’s early history and early programming.
