Watch Laura Major, Cognitive Engineer for Draper Laboratory, discuss her exciting work as a team leader where she combines her psychology and engineering skills to design decision-making support devices for US astronauts and soldiers. She wishes all girls knew how much fun it is to be an engineer, and has even dressed in full gear to accompany Special Ops soldiers on simulated combat missions to better understand the types of decisions they have to make in high pressure, life and death situations and what types of technology she needs to design to keep them safe.
