Watch Jacquelyn Sims, mathematician and Dean of Mathematical Sciences at El Camino College, share how she enjoys teaching others to enjoy and excel at math. She encourages girls to study math because it gives you confidence and opens so many doors so that you can choose any career you want. Her tip not to be intimidated by math is to give yourself permission to not always get it the first time and to realize that just like for athletes and actors, it takes practice to be good at something.
