TV Production Manager

Watch Heidi McGowen, production supervisor on the critically acclaimed television show, “Blackish” share how it is her job to make sure that all the actors and crew have everything they need to do their jobs. She works with the director and assistant directors to plan how they will film the weekly script, and which scenes will be filmed on what day. She credits her early work experience as a camp counselor with developing some of the most important skills she still uses to this day. She believes that more girls should think about careers in film and television production, because we need to have more voices and more stories from a wider variety of sources.
